The major force behind Venezuela`s Los Adolescentes has just released a terrific salsa project that is one serious punch of sabor y fuerza. You astute observers will recognize some participants, and will come to realize that this is, in, fact, an evolution of Adolescentes. One that gets down to business. With singers Everson Hernandez, Algel Delgado, Marlon Araujo, Victor Baloa and guest Charlie Cardona. Most of the compositions, including two of my favorites, Tragico and Cierra El Chorro were penned by Baloa. I loved the inclusion of Tributo a Damiron and the traditional Venezuelan version of Asi Lo Quiso. Baloa is clearly defining himself as a bandleader and arranger to take seriously
