DISLOCADOS is the first HardSalsa band from the former Soviet Union, Ukraïne with their 2009 album "La Salida.".
Led by Ilya Yeresko, one of Ukraine`s most respected young pianists and composers, they started playing in Kyiv`s best live music bars. The band was soon joined by Karolina Patocki and Lesya Zdorovetskaya, finalizing the group`s vocal flavor, and now the 11-piece band has become a force to be reckoned with in the country. Dislocados has now released the first salsa album to come out of Ukraine, with an intro written by salsa legend Andy Harlow, featuring ten hot original salsa tracks, inspired from Puerto Rico, New York, and Cuba.
1. Miedo (7:17)
2. Cancion De Los Muertos (5:09)
3. Plena Pa` Tontos (4:49)
4. Resaca (7:16)
5. La Palapa (4:52)
6. Descarga De 44 (14:44)
7. Monotonia (6:14)
8. Reina Del Mundo (5:30)
9. Ya (Nada Menos) (5:41)
10. El Sol Te Besa (9:41)

Santa Salsera`s review:   "Latin music from the Ukraine? Damn straight:  Not regurgitated or imitated, this is out-of-the-box, informed, original and freaking awesome:  Salsa, bombiplena, guajira and cha cha cha styles in evidence. Comes to WXDU`s playlist via Fania salsa legend Andy Harlow (who blurbed the liner notes). Female vocalists Karolina Patocki and Lesya Zdorovetskaya are already breaking the mold, as testified on track (9) casting a jaundiced eye on "piropos", or pick-up lines, and the expectations that only men make good soneros. Noteworthy instrumentalists include Ilya Yeresko, a monster on piano/keyboards, and bassist Valentin Korniyenko (who is given some name play on salsa`s great bass player:  Bobby Valentin). It is worth playing the 15 min., Ray Barretto-style jam session (6) just to hear all the musicians soloing. Organ and electric guitar on (7) makes for a 70s-style slow groover straight from the streets of Kiev. (10) is an outlier, a Polish folk song that converts into an Afro-Cuban rumba. There is only one Latino on this whole album, and he is singing backup.  Say no more: Dislocados literally just put Ukraine on the map for Latin music fans."
