Those of you who remember the seismic earthquake that was La Puertorriquena`s 20th Aniversario release (a strong Best of 2004 winner) might ask yourselves the pivotal question: "Can they do it again?" While last years`s effort was a ferocious bulldozer, Con Sabor A Don Perignon, under the musical direction of Mr. Perignon and pianist Willie Sotelo, is a slightly more even-tempered steamroller of salsa. La Puertorriqeuna orchestra has become the torch carrier of capital "S" salsa from la isla del encanto, consistently churning out the big sound that has become the stamp of the big Don. Part of that stamp is the use of an entire team of strong singers, and on Con Sabor A Don Perignon the team takes the form of Pedro Brull, Victor Manuelle, Rafi Andino, Chegui Ramos, Primi Cruz, and Rico Walker.
