Oasis is a collaborative album by Colombian singer J Balvin and Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny, released on 28 June 2019. The pair previously collaborated on Cardi B`s 2018 single "I Like It". "Qué Pretendes" was released as the lead single with a video alongside the album, being later followed by "La Canción, "Yo Le Llego", and "Cuidao por Ahí".
This album does great job in combining old school reggaeton rhythms with groovier sounds and explores the limits of reggaeton and trap music. It creates a unique sound, as in Mojaita with the splashing sounds and the bass leading the track. Bad Bunny kills in his verses with references to Puerto Rican culture while J Balvin creates melodious hooks that make for an effective 1 2 punch.
