Luny Tunes & Baby Ranks - Mas Flow vol.2
Luny Tunes is het producers duo van de Reggaeton anno 2005, klassieke reggaeton CD uit 2005
Mas Flow vol. 2 is one of the best reggaeton releases you`re likely to encounter, now or ever. Highlights abound, including big hits like Wisin & Yandel`s "Rakata," or the sped-up-sounding posse track "Mayor que Yo." The two versions of Daddy Yankee`s "Mirame" are likewise highlights, the second one boasting a verse by Tego Calderón the song has a distinct Eastern vibe, partly courtesy of vocalist Deevani. Baby Ranks gets co-billing here on Mas Flow, Vol. 2 and indeed he contributes heavily to the album. As always with these Luny Tunes albums, the big serving of music can be too much for some people, especially if taken all in one sitting. Fans of the style will relish the value of Mas Flow, Vol. 2 however. Not only is there a wealth of music here, but it`s all well crafted, for the most part. Reggaeton albums don`t get much better than this. (All Music Guide)
The young duo Francisco Saldana and Victor Cabrera once worked at Harvard University as a chef and a dishwasher, respectively--but that was before they began remixing, redefining, and revolutionizing the burgeoning reggaeton movement. Talk about a Cinderella story: Known collectively as Luny Tunes, the pair has assembled a first-rate posse of stars for Mas Flow 2 the follow-up to 2003`s first installment. Luny Tunes have been called reggaeton`s answer to hip-pop producers the Neptunes, and Mas Flow 2 goes a long way towards justifying the comparison. High-wattage stars Daddy Yankee, Ivy Queen, Vico-C and Tego Calderon make appearances throughout the two-disc collection, and lesser-known artists are also highlighted. The jerky beats of reggaeton can get a bit repetitive, but Luny Tunes add enough flavor to keep the hips swaying throughout the disc`s 20-plus tracks.

In 2003 reggaeton (a mix of rap, dancehall, and Latin music) was little known outside of the confines of Puerto Rico, and its greatest artists were collected under the ace production hand of Luny Tunes for the MAS FLOW collection. By 2005 the style has spread to a much larger audience, leading to the compilation`s reissue and a sequel, simply titled MAS FLOW 2. Luny Tunes, along with MC Baby Ranks, is at the helm again for a truly impressive serving of major performers in the reggaeton world. After an introduction, the reins are handed over to Wisin & Yandel for the sexy "Rakata," followed by Alexis (joined by Ranks) with the more bombastic "El Tiburon." The true prize on the record for reggaeton fans comes on "Mayor Que Yo," where listeners are treated to a collaboration by many of the style`s biggest stars, including Hector and Don Omar.
