This is a retrospective of the Abyssinians` career from 1969 to about 1982. Any fan will know that the Abyssinians re-recorded many of their classic songs. This is common in Reggae and is not necessarily a bad thing. Each version often brings out a fresh rhythmic style and different musicians. But it`s good to know what you`re getting, so here goes.

1. Satta Amassa Gana: This is the 1969 original recorded at Coxsone Dodd`s Studio One studio.
2. This Land is For Everyone: This is from the 1978 album "Arise".
3. Prophesy: This is a new extended mix using the 1974 single, with tambourine added.
4. Tenayistillin: is the original 1975 Clinch single...so rootsy.
5. Praise Him: This is from the 1982 album "Forward".
6. Abendingo: I don`t know about this one. It`s later than the 1976 "Forward to Zion" album version, "Abendigo".
7. Forward Jah: From the 1982 album "Forward". There`s a 1974 Clinch single that swings....
8. Hey You: From the 1978 album "Arise".
9. Love Comes and Goes: Is the 1975 Clinch single extended with Bongo Herman on hand drums.
10. Crashie Sweeps (Them Clean): is a 1974 Clinch single, a reworking of the 1969 single "Jerusalem".
11. Let My Days Be Long: is the 1971 Clinch single.
12. Leggo Beast (Wicked Men): is the original 1972 Clinch single.
13. Mabrak: is the 1971 Clinch release; spoken-word to the "Satta" riddim.
14. Satta Me No Born Ya: is a 1974 Clinch single with new lyrics to the "Satta" riddim.
15: Satta Dub: From the "Satta Dub" album co-released with this album. No idea who mixed it.
