The first album by Latin combo Tempo 70, usually identified as "El Primer LP" - as printed on the front and back cover, is a very nice debut for this multi-faceted group! The combo smoke in plenty of heady salsa territory – especially on the upbeat tracks, which have a lively spirit that really makes the album stand out – but these guys are also more than comfortable handling a few ballads, maybe in a way that`s more convincing than some of their contemporaries.
