1968 album from bandleader/timbalero Kako with vocalist Camilo Azuquita.
Kako was one of the most popular and important bandleaders in New York in the 60`s. After playing percussion with a who`s who list of big bands , Kako formed his own combo. He also became an integral part of Alegre Records scouting talent. In the mid 60`s he recorded this wonderful album for West Side Latino entitled Live It Up. The album features Panamanian vocalist Azuquita. As one would imagine it is a percussion - laden combination of Latin grooves ranging from Mambo, to Guajira and even includes some Boogaloo which was the hottest sound at the time.
